Kindergarten Math & Reading App Reviews

I really enjoy the Kids Academy Preschool Education App. The games and characters keep out 3 and 5 year old entertained as they learn age appropriate math, reading and writing skills. The videos, stories and awards are a fun touch that reward the kids for playing and learning. The kids love having access to the videos and I enjoy knowing that they can only see age appropriate content!

Update! Kids can learn the alphabet, their numbers, sing song, learn how to draw, the possiblities are endless! Its such an amazing app and its all here for your preschooler to learn everything he or she need to before they head off to Kindergarten. My 4 year old daughter def approves! She wakes up and wants to go there to play and learn which I think is amazing! She has to really love something to want to do that and I can tell she LOVES Kids Academy! My 9 year old son also loves it as well so its a good thing that we have it downloaded to both are Ipad and Mac haha

This looks like a cute app that both my 2 yr old and 5 yr old could enjoy. I love the different subjects available and the selection available in those subjects. I was hoping that the monthly cost would be $5 or under but i think the cost might be worth it with this one.

This is an app that has a lot to offer; off the bat there are some activities to help with learning / retaining skills in reading, writing, and math. The activities are really fun - Id say for all ages, since I ended up getting hooked in myself! I think, in addition to kids, this app might actually be good for those studying English as a second language. Theres vocabulary and alphabet areas, as well as a rhyming words feature which I would think, would help with pronunciation and some of those idiosyncrasies our language is known infamously for! You get a couple of classic kids tales for free in the Reading area as well as fun Math activities. Clearly there is more in store for this app as many more features and games are in as "Coming Soon!" Im optimistic about them since its great so far.

The app has tons of fun activities and games that help little ones develop essential preschool skills. The graphics are great and the app runs smoothly. I am very happy with this app and I would definitely recommend it to anyone with a preschooler! This app is entertaining, interactive and educational, earning it an A+ in my book!

My kiddo has had so much fun with this app and I really like that it has selections for various skills to work at and improve upon. This app is great for educational distraction at boring grownup times as well as being useful to reinforce school work. I like how positive and patient the app is, other electronics we have used, didnt seem to offer enough chances and have left my little discouraged. This app gave my mini every chance needed to accomplish the task and never came across as "mean" when correcting. This app also allows for imperfect writing common among such young children, another issue we have experienced that has caused frustration for both of us.

I love finding apps that help my children learn and build their skills. This is the first time I have heard of Kids Academy and I am very impressed! UPDATE Nov 3: This is a great go-to app that littles love. The cartoon kids, cute monsters and actual animals are awesome. They even use some key Montessori style, child led exercises and include free printable. My own kids went to Montessori school from the time they were 3 years old through 6th grade and both are now confident, creative leaders in advanced honors classes in some of the best schools in the country. Were huge fans of Montessori methods. Check out Kids Academy.

This is a great kids/preschooler app. The graphics are adorable, as well as the music. Its a fun game to play to teach kids on how to count, read, and write, along with how to follow instructions. The games are fairly simple and the reading/story time is adorable. Though I do have to point out that this game is VERY large and takes a while to download. The reason for that is because 95% of the app is stuff you have to pay for. I wish theyd seperate the apps -- one for the free games they offer and then a paid version. Otherwise, I really thing this is a great app!

This is a great App that will help preschoolers learn how to read. Its that the activities are separated into age groups witch make navigation easy. There is a FREE 7-day trial. Contains more than 500 worksheets, educational TV, activities PLUS educational games.

This is a wonderful app for the younger pre-K and Kindergarten kids. It ran smooth with no issues on my device and were getting it on another device so that both kids can play it. They loved the app and it kept their attention. Absolutely would recommend and there is a lot of free things on there to help as well :)

Application does not work after a while m

I downloaded this app for my daughter who is 2 1/2 and isnt currently in preschool. Having taught kindergarten before, I was instantly impressed with this app. The graphics are engaging and inviting. The original app has sections in various subject areas, but I love the update even more. I really love that there isnt just a section to teach letters and sounds, but also a section on handwriting. The free version activities are limited & I havent yet paid for the full version at this time. Definitely would recommend this app for toddlers and preschoolers.

It does have a lot of awesome different things for the kids to do on it. But since its suppose to be a free app i dont get why you have to pay for certain things thats why I gave it 4 stars. But other then that its a really good app. The kids really seemed to enjoy it and had a few different things to do on it. They said it was fun but got a little boring since they couldnt go on without paying for it. So hopefully they can add a few new things on there to keep them interested in the game longer and so they can learn even more stuff from the game.

This is a fun and educational app. The colors, characters and music were bright and catchy which kept my little ones attention. The content is educational and relevant, helping to build a sound foundation. Definitely a good app!

My daughter loves this app. She loves to read, but math - not much. So this app has made learning math fun and rewarding. Shes earned several trophies and is setting goals to earn more. The games keep my younger kids engaged, but they are also learning.

I spent some time playing around on the app. It has great sound effects and graphics. The educational matter is high quality. I think for most of the app its best suited for kids 3.5 years and up.

Hi all, Please be sure to have THE MOST RECENT version of iOS before install (even then Im not sure it will help). I emailed their app support team as the app was crashing, turned my screen bright white. I tried erasing and redownloading the app many times, turning my phone on and off, clearing my apps, everything. The only thing I was able to do with the app at one point was pay the 7.99 monthly fee for access to all the features at which point the app stopped working shortly after. Coincidence...I think not. I guess the developers think youll sit there paying 7.99 a month for an app that doesnt work. They dont even offer you a refund. No Ian...no I will not. Dont waste your time with their customer support, thats awful as well. They cant even test on all (w/in the last 1.5 years) iOS versions!
